My little baby boy is 11 months old! Ahhh...it's going by so so fast!
This past weekend we were at my parent's while Dustin was at a conference with the youth. My dad (Grandpa) got Preston to doing "Patty Cake". He's got the clapping part down really good. Also, this weekend he said "Amen" very plainly after my dad repeated it several times. On Sunday, Preston got to go on stage at church for a few minutes so that Grandpa could show off his grandson. Grandpa said that hopefully, Preston will have many more opportunities to stand infront of the church...maybe he'll be a preacher someday. Preston has picked up speed in his walking this week as he's had much more room to roam. Also, this weekend Preston learned how to climb onto the fireplace harth....big NO, NO!! Not safe!! How do we keep this little boy out of stuff?
Well, we are on the way to planning Preston's Big 1st Birthday. We'll just do a family party for this year. We will be in our new house for a mearly 2 weeks before his birthday. What a busy month we have infront of us!
It was a great day yesterday as Preston turned 11 months, but it was also a sad day for Dustin and I as we lost our male cocker spaniel, Tanner, who got off of his leash and got ran over. I hope he is in dog heaven running and pouncing to his hearts content as he chases birds! We never got a chance to take him bird hunting. He sure had it in him!
This is a be-lated posting of a 9 month picture we had taken of Preston.

Uh-Oh!
On Valentine's Day Preston started his first real word besides, "Mama and Dada"...he's saying "UH-OH"! It's so funny because he will purposely drop something so he can say 'uh-oh'. He will even say 'uh-oh' and THEN drop something. It's just too cute! He's changing everyday.
Also, he starting to throw a fit when he doesn't get his way or he's tired. He arches his back and goes limp while kicking his feet and fussing. He's starting to be quite a stinker, for sure.
Preston is walking a lot now! He walked from the front door to the kitchen doorway this afternoon. When he wants to get somewhere fast, he'll crawl. However, he IS walking!! YEAH!!!
Well, we have a contract on a house and will be moving in mid-March. We are very excited. I'm glad we will be in a place where Preston will have more room to play and a much larger back yard. We've got room to expand!...eventually!!

Ten Months Old
He's gotten into my powder and dumped quite a bit on the floor.
He has learned that unrolling the toilet paper is a LOT of fun.
He's walking really good behind his push walker and along the edge of the couch.
He like to get my pen (with the cap still on) and write on paper or books. He's obviously been very observant in watching mommy write in her bible study book. He's reprogrammed our TV remote. He has enjoyed the freedom of taking a bath in the 'big' tub. He's standing completely by himself. He's 'big cheesin' for the camera showing his 8 pretty toofies.
You know he's either really happy or flirting when he blinks and squints his eyes at you. He's had a play date with a few older ladys (2 year olds) from church. He's eating a few small, soft things off my mommy and daddy's plate. He's facing forward in his car seat..so much fun to see him better! We have just had a fun month. He's been sick with a cold for most of it, but it has been adventurous and exciting.

Moving this Weekend
I haven't been able to blog for awhile for many reasons. One is that our whole family has been sick this week (that is a story within itself!!!) and the other is that we are moving this weekend. I'm trying to post some of our Christmas pictures and then I will probably be taking a break for a week or longer until we get things settled. We are moving to a rent house until ours sales. If you would like our new address, just email/text me. I'll keep my cell number the same for a few weeks. Keep us in your prayers. There's a lot going on all at once and it gets kind of crazy at times.

9 Months Old
Baby Preston is 9 months old today! Can it be possible that he is already 9 months old? In 3 months he will be a year old!!! Time is flying by so fast!! I weighed and measured him yesterday and he is about 28 inches long and 19 lbs. 13 oz. He's a big boy! He's actually looking more like a little boy than a baby and it makes me sad, but he's SUCH a cute little boy!!
Since we've gotten home from Christmas he's started doing several new things, such as: opening all the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen and dragging stuff out, opening the drawers on my china cabinet and messing with my crystal platters (big no no), and messing with the old sewing machine in our entryway. He's REALLY keeping me busy watching him. It seems like he wants to get into the very things I don't want him into. During the week of Christmas, he started letting go for a few seconds while standing. I don't think I'm going to say he's standing by himself yet, but he's very close. He's been a lot better about sleeping longer. I've been able to sleep till 8 or 8:30 this week. I just hope that continues.
He's loving all of his Christmas toys...especially if they make noise. I've seen him get more active lately with wanting to play and keep himself occupied longer, however, he still wants Momma to play with him and hold him ever so often.
He's drinking out of his sippee cup like a big boy and eating half a mashed banana or 1/2 cup of applesauce along with each meal. Before we know it, he'll be eating meals with us.
He started making this really funny face this week when he eats. He clinches his eyes shut and then opens them while giving a big cheesy grin. I'll laugh at him and he just does it again and again for about 5-6 times. He's so witty and turning into quite a flirt. My heart overflows with love for him. Children are definitely a gift from God....and God gives the best gifts!!
